Just when you thought the world of music had been taken over by MTV, with blasting guitars and screaming people, along comes a group of young musicians who delight the heart and soothe the soul!

The Strolling Strings are composed of young talented people from grade school through high school age who wish to learn advanced string techniques.   They are magical performers who are trying to maintain an excellence in stringed instruments and the performance arts. 

Unlike a traditional orchestra, the Strollers memorize their music and perform among the audience often dancing as they play. They pratice the concept originated with the “gypsy violinists” of Europe of bringing music to the people.

Each student is required to belong to their school orchestra (if available), take private lessons and attend a weekly Strolling Strings rehearsal.

The Strollers play a variety of stringed instruments including violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, banjo, etc. and are accompanied by the piano.

The Antioch Strolling Strings are available for your special event from October though June and have performed at everything from private parties to festivals.  They perform a selection of string music ranging from classical to contemporary, big band, folk and bluegrass.  Your guests will love finding their favorite style in the performance!
